ANIMALS IN THE GAMBIA...
There are 117 species of mammals, 30 species of amphibians and 47 species of reptiles making a total of 194 species of wild animals in The Gambia. These include:
Crocodiles, Hippos. Monkeys, Zebras, Leopards, Eagles, Dolphins & Sharks, Buffalo, Wolves amongst others. Out of the 117 species of animals known to have existed in The Gambia about 13 have become extinct, and a similar number is threatened with extinction.

Your guide will pick you up from the hotel & take you to the best safari spots in the area, dependant on what animals you are keen to see. There is the option to mix & match for the duration of your stay & all safari destinations can be decided by you.
Typical costs for a full day’s safari with lunch ranges between £25 & £100 dependant on guide, but a full week’s safari should cost no more than £400 all-in.
