A good 3 course evening meal in a good quality restaurant costs on average about £10 - £15 per person, whilst fine dining in The Gambia costs less than the UK. A simple meal and beers costs under £7 per person. The dress code in most restaurants is casual, but in the evening gentlemen are usually required to wear long trousers. Of particular note is the abundance of freshly caught seafood including ladyfish, barracuda, snapper, butterfish, lobster and huge Atlantic prawns. Vegetarians are increasingly catered for, with a variety of vegetarian dishes.

PARADISO BAR & RESTAURANT – Gambia's most popular Pizza Place – the pizzas are so famous that even the Gambian President orders his take-away there.
